How to add pictures to a Telegraph post?

Recently, it has become impossible to upload images to Telegraph servers, either through the website or the API. However, you can insert any image or video if it is hosted on an external server.

Below, we will consider two ways to add images to an article: when automatically writing an article using ClipAI, and when creating an article manually directly on the Telegraph page.

Automatically (using ClipAI)

ClipAI uses ImgPhoto for automatic uploading and inserting images. This is a completely free service with a working API and no ads. Moreover, it allows you to get direct links to images, which is exactly what you need to work with Telegraph.

All you need to do to automatically publish images using it is to register, and then get an API key. The obtained key needs to be entered in the "Telegra.ph" section of the "Publication" tab of the input settings.

Manually (on the Telegraph website)

If you don't have ClipAI and want to insert an image on the Telegraph website, you can upload the image, then scroll down a bit and get any of the embedding codes:

And insert the obtained link in the Telegraph article editing window by first clicking the button on the left .

Although ClipAI is not related to ImgFoto, we recommend supporting their service if you use it frequently. This way, it can remain free in the future.
